Then you should know that 'The Swans' at the Kingston College Football Academy hold trials during the months of April and May. Staines Town FC The club, founded in 1892, has been re-born in 2003 thanks to an impressive £6.5m redevelopment of its Wheatsheaf Lane home by the Thames. Associated to the new 'Thames Club' a fully equiped private members health club. The Swans now have the springboard to push for the Conference League to which standard the facilities have been completed. Builiding on a long tradition of commitment to the development of young footballers, 'the Swans' partnership with Kingston College will provide the talented students an opportunity to pursue both educational and sporting excellence. You will receive: * Twelve hours coaching per week by UEFA qualified coaching staff - 3 x outfield coaches and 1 x specific goalkeeping coach. * Excellent private training facilities, using high quality training and fitness equipment. * Weekly Academy matches with two teams competing in national, regional and local leagues and cups, including the FA Youth Cup. * High quality academic courses from the wide and varied choice at Kingston College, including a full range of many sporting courses. * Full training / match kit, tracksuits and medical support for all Academy players. * A direct route for the Academy's proven performers to play for Staines Town FC in Ryman League matches. All matches to be played at the excellent new £6.5m Wheatsheaf Park home of Staines Town.
The Academy Structure * A maximum of 40 players each year will be selected by the Academy staff, following trials for the Academy squad. * Players can stay up to 3 years, subject to annual review and age. * Players successfully accepted into the Academy will be expected to prove a high level of ability and willingness to learn, maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline and to be motivated to attend all sessions punctually. * Academy players will be expected to undertake at least one course of study from the wide selection of courses available at Kingston College. * The Academy will provide an excellent shop window for the players to be spotted by many professional clubs, although a contractual obligation will be to the college.
