risbridger

Aged only 21 when signed in December 2003 from Aylesbury United where he had been a crowd-favourite and regular for the previous 2 seasons. This hard-working player started his career with Marlow in 1997/8, but was quickly snapped-up by Yeovil Town, arriving at Huish Park in the summer of 1998. Enjoyed three seasons with the Glovers playing for the youths, reserves and senior side before leaving to join Southend United in the summer of 2001 on a full-time contract. Made half a dozen senior appearances for the Shrimpers and was also 'loaned' out to Dover Athletic during that time playing 3 Conference games. He joined Salisbury City in Feb ’02 and from there was signed by 'Cords' for the Ducks. A much-publicised knee injury inflicted by a ‘blade’ in the derby match with Egham in Jan ’04 kept him out for 30 months.  Slowly worked his way back to full fitness, aided by a spell cross-signed at Bracknell Town, and at the end of the 2006/7 campaign, his loyalty was rewarded by the Clubman of the Year award.  A UEFA 'B' coaching badge holder and qualified referee (!!).
