Mark signed in Feb ’06 at a time when he was leading scorer for Walton & Hersham, despite having played for St Albans City over the preceding month. He previously played for Charlton Athletic and Colchester United at schoolboy level, Harlow Town, Leatherhead, and the Protec football academy before signing for Chesham United in August 2002. From there he moved to Walton & Hersham, quickly making a name for himself with his pace and eye for goal, notching 23 goals in 45 appearances since the start of the 2004/5 season. Nokkers’ pace is based upon his younger days as an athlete, and he was once the 200m All-England Schoolboy champion before switching to football.
