Howard is in his second spell with Staines, having served for part of the 2003/4 season, and returned in summer ’06 after establishing himself in the Harrow Borough 1st XI.  His first, injury plagued spell was preceded by periods with Wembley and Epsom & Ewell.  He can play on either the left of the right of the forward line.  In February 2008, “H” became Staines Town’s first serving player to play in a World Cup tie, a qualifier for Guyana v Surinam, having already gained caps in friendlies.  His brother, Jake, left Staines for Havant & Waterlooville at the start of the 2008/9 season, whilst Howard attracted interest from several Football League clubs.
